COUNTING THE LOSES: LCCN REFLECTIONS
FROM THE BOKO-HARAM EXPERIENCE

The
most hit area of the LCCN is the Arewa Diocese followed by its neighboring
Shall-Holma Diocese. At the peak of the activities of the Boko Haram insurgency
in 2014 and early 2015 over 22 communities where LCCN is the major denomination
was attacked. In the attacks many lives were lost and properties worth millions
of Naira were destroyed. Some of these communities were overran and taken over
by the insurgency for over period three months until the Nigerian army
recaptured the territories. One of them is Mubi the second largest town in
Adamawa state. LCCN churches in Mubi were all affected and the people
displaced.
As
a follow up on the attacks the following was compiled in Arewa Diocese alone.

CONCLUSION
But
whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the
sake of Christ. More than that, I count all things to be loss
in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I
have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may
gain Christ… (Phil.3:7,8)
