Christians can never be enemies to any religion – Rev Dr. Soja Bewereng

The immediate past President of COCIN and serving President of New Life for All (NLFA) and Plateau state CAN Chairman Rev Dr. Soja Bewereng said Christians on the plateau and elsewhere can never be inimical to either the Muslims or any other religion. He said this while speaking to our correspondent in Jos during the recently concluded NLFA international Conference. Rev Dr. Bewereng stated that the church was established on caring and love, therefore, today’s Christians cannot be different. He said Jesus cared for people irrespective of religion and he gave his life for all. “A Christian will never take sword or machete to kill anyone. We are known for providing education, healthcare and other amenities to Christians and non-Christians alike.” Rev Dr Bewereng said though the church have in recent times suffered so much attack from the enemy such was not new to Christianity as Jesus himself never found it easy. “Christ preached salvation among hostile people, people who did not only fight against him but killed him by hanging.” He said as the church continues to evangelize despite challenges many will come to know the truth. He called on all church leaders to continue to evangelize the world until Christ returned.
