Archbishop calls on Chamba people to walk in unity
The Archbishop of LCCN Most Rev Nemuel A. Babba called on the Chamba people to unite and move their land forward irrespective of religious differences. The call was made at the reception programme organized by the Gurum community in honour of Rt. Rev. Jediel Nyenbeso. The Archbishop who was represented by the Administrative Secretary of the church Mr. Parisa Ishaku said the Chamba people are privileged to be a large ethnic group in Nigeria with many educated people. He said that the election of Bishop Jediel Nyenbenso was timely in the history of the Church in Chamba land. “Bearing in mind the fact that the first mission station in Chamba land was in Gurum, it is very historic to have had a Bishop from this area.” But the Archbishop lamented that over the years the land has not made so much impact. He charged the Chamba people to continue to support their leaders and unite for the progress of the land.
The Archbishop said Rt. Rev. Jediel Momsisuri Nyenbenso will only succeed in his work if the people will give him their support. He therefore strongly charged the people of Bonotem Diocese to give the needed support and encouragement for the progress of the diocese and LCCN in general.
